Oter may notice that it isnt the first time there is a long hiatus. The comic didnt die then. It probably will continue. Author have a right to vacation as everyone else.
Also, JHSII, I know you can be a good, constructive crittic, and you probably feel offenced at some people here (maybe including me), but implied or passive-agressive insult are still insults, and you take a stab every post.
And the comment on reading, along with the humor Nona reverse had have at your expense, is really ironic.
Nice projection though.
If the problem is obsession with something that isn't your own, and blind devotion to the same which manifests in baseless defense of every one of its multitudinous flaws, then yes, I would indeed say you are the one with the problem. If you'd deign to directly reply to any of my comments, I'd be glad to discuss the matter further.

It's an awesome idea for a game title, but I don't carry a Legacy of Hatred. JHSII isn't helping the comic, and nothing would if it stays on permanent hiatus. But at least constructive criticism is appropriate, while to disrespect the comic using this section, we can play word games. Right?

I'm most amused by the fact that I completely forget about this comic for a month or two and come back to see it hasn't updated, and yet JHSII (who coming here what, daily? At least weekly. All to the same bad poetry that has been plastered on the page for months) fumes at people for wasting their time and flaming a webcomic they don't like. Good lord.
JHSII, word of advice. When literally everyone else around you has one opinion, you aren't necessarily in the wrong for disagreeing with them. Many great strides in science have been taken when the voice of one stood against the voice of the multitude. However, when that single voice just harps on the same note again and again? When the voice of the multitude takes apart and analyzes the argument of the one voice, and deconstructs it to point out and thoroughly address the flaws in its reasoning and arguments? And then when the one little voice shouts back, with no context nor substance "You're wrong, I'm right, everything you say proves me more and more right" in the way you have at least three times on this comment thread alone? Then maybe...just maybe...the one lone voice is actually a complete and utter moron who's clinging to a fallacious argument like the mast on a sinking ship.
About the cardboard, a possibility is that this (background torch tiny larry spikes) is one instance of an illusiory spell.
Larry being a bard, he can cast those easily and only need the lvl-1 one.
The torches would be a minor illusion - if the background was cardboard. Of course, in-game, the board would have been made out of something other than cardboard, as they didn't have it in that time period. More than likely the torches would be illuminated on a cloth frame, with possibly a minor illusion if someone wanted them to flicker like real torches.

I don't get it. I know that the authors have lives and all, but there hasn't been a single update in nearly a month. I just can't keep interest in a comic that updates once a month.
Like, is there news? Some kind of explanation for their absence?

I really hope this great comic updates soon! It%u2019s been seven years and three-hundred-eighty pages since strip one, so there really should be more dedication to the updates, or some promise of a resolution. But against countless, regenerating trolls, I hold out!

I apologize for it all. I offer this: page 345 still is called "testing". Is this a mistake? Also, while it's nighttime by panel eight, before anyone else boarded the ship, Lana is clearly shone under a blue sky clear enough for seabirds to be visible in the upper portion. I wonder why this was so? Is the answer spam hibiscus?
I understand the will tomaintain the comment alive, but these kind of forum game have no place in a section for commenting on a story and border on spam. If you want to play, you should exchange mail or similar mean and continue in private.

Is it smaller than a mortal? Can it grow thorns? Does it recite stories from the Third Reich that were known only to J. Goebbels? Does it grow in the western part of the lowland portion of southwestern China's Sichuan Basin near the northeastern upper slopes of Mount Emei? Is it coniferous? Is it a plant?

No one would commit to a calm discussion long enough, so I thought to try this way. There don't seem to be panels enough for a discussion lasting over fifty comments.

If Nona was looking for "a better way", then Nona wouldn't be trolling. Nona could even offer to help with something.
Heck, there are ways to generate 100 comments without being deliberately offensive. How about a discussion on which module this comic references - it looks like Tomb of Horrors. And yes, trust me, everything in Tomb of Horrors is a trap!!

I still hope Dypen will see the comment. Technical difficulties, but this is a three hundred eighty pages webcomic with three people working on it, which began almost exactly seven years before the last strip posted. NOT EVEN AN ANNIVERSARY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT.
So, should I go there and tell them how much I hate their comic and how they should just drop dead and stop?
No, because that would be trolling.

Nobody's forcing you to come here, Nona. Nobody's forcing you to read the comics that you apparently hate so much.
So, here's an idea.
You don't like the comic, don't come back. Leave the rest of us alone. We do like the comic, and we do appreciate the effort that they're putting into it.

I'm sure they know the ballad isn't great. It doesn't have to be.
We know that Laris is a bard, and we know he's singing.
Many author's wouldn't even go so far as to write a mediocre* poem. If they are proud of their achievement, they are well within their rights to be (unless they're actualy skilled poets/songwriters).
If you were writing a comic, would you go so far as to write a song when the story needed it?
*I wouldn't actually call it mediocre. It's good enough that it serves its purpose quite well, and doesn't sound bad when read.
At least it's not fifty pages of filler, this is definitely a cool way of doing a b-plot, and helps a bard to tell his tale!
